Not a great photo, but I only had the cellphone with me today on my way home from the ferry terminal on my bike. I decided to take a detour through Bayport to see how far from the terminal our future home will be. Just as I got into the area though I saw that they were getting ready to pour foundations for some future phases and thought it would be nice to get a photo showing what is inside the concrete.
In the photo you can see the green clad steel cables that provide the tension on the concrete (they are fixed at one end, and tensioned once the concrete is almost cured). You can also see all the 3′ square black boxes that add the waffle to the slab.
